Documentation
Everything you need to capture, annotate, and share bug reports with Vidro.
Getting started
Create an account at vidro.dev and sign in. You can use email or sign in with Google or GitHub. Once signed in, you get a workspace where your reports and recordings are stored.
Install the Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store to record your screen and tab from the browser. The extension also lets you capture full-page or visible-area screenshots. You can also create recordings and screenshots from the web app without the extension in supported flows.
Screen recording
Start a recording from the extension or from the web app. Choose to capture your screen, a specific tab, or (when available) your webcam. Vidro records in high quality and can capture browser console logs and network requests during the session. When you stop, the recording is uploaded and attached to a new report. You can add a title, description, and optional AI-generated summary and chapters.
Screenshots
Capture a screenshot of the visible page, paste an image from your clipboard, or use the extension for full-page or area capture. The in-app screenshot editor gives you many tools: shapes, arrows, blur, highlight, text, device frames, and more. You can create multi-page screenshot reports and annotate each image. Annotations are stored so you can edit or export later.
Reports and sharing
Each report has a unique link. You can share the link with anyone; they can view the report without signing in. Use the dashboard to organize reports, add status, and collaborate with your team. You can compare two reports side by side to spot duplicates or differences.
AI features
Vidro can generate summaries, action items, and chapter markers for your reports. You can choose from multiple AI models in settings. AI is used for transcript-based analysis, screenshot captions, and suggested replies in comments. Usage may count toward your plan limits.
Workspace and team
Your workspace is where all reports and members live. Invite teammates via email; they get an invite link to join. Workspace admins can manage members, billing, and integrations. Use Settings in the dashboard to change the workspace name, default AI model, and other options.
Integrations
Connect a Slack webhook to post notifications when reports are created or updated. Use Webhooks to send events (e.g. report.created, comment.added) to your own endpoint. Configure these in workspace settings (admin only).
